Simon is a qualified Charted Accountant with over 15 years’ experience in his field.  After completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting & Information Systems, Simon had his first taste of Public Practice when he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers.  After leaving PricewaterhouseCoopers he learned first-hand the challenges of running a business, with various roles including six years as a Chief Financial Officer and four as a General Manager.

For the past three years, Simon has been working alongside business owners helping them to achieve their goals.  Simon’s passion for enabling ‘kiwi’ businesses to succeed has led to the creation of RIVAL Accounting.   A business with a desire to challenge small and medium-size enterprises on their growth path and offer tailored mentoring. Simon fully understands the challenges that business owners face today, and this experience is an advantage to clients.

Simon travels regularly to meet one on one with his clients who are predominantly based in Wellington, Auckland and the Wairarapa. He is married with two daughters and in his spare time enjoys keeping fit at the gym and spending time with family.
