Tim has been a qualified financial adviser in New Zealand since 2008, founding RIVAL Wealth during the Global Financial Crisis. The business has grown consistently, with Tim traveling nationwide to meet clients and speak at events. RIVAL Wealth won the prestigious Diversity Award for best work-life balance in 2018.

Tim grew up in the Wairarapa and completed a double degree at Victoria University (BCA and BTSM). He began his career at TOWER, quickly advancing to Business Development Manager. Tim then worked in Ireland as Head of Business Development for Oppenheim Investment Managers, significantly increasing new investments.

In 2024, Tim received the Community Impact Award from the National Financial Advice New Zealand Conference. This award recognised his outstanding results in improving community outcomes and creating positive change in the community.
