Financial wellbeing workshops
At RIVAL Wealth, we work with businesses and groups across New Zealand to deliver financial wellbeing workshops that are practical, relevant, and easy to engage with, whether you already have employee benefits in place or are just starting to explore how to support your people. Every session is tailored around the people in the room, so the conversations stay real and useful. Whether your team is small or a larger audience, we can support a range of group sizes and formats.
Workshop sessions
Smaller, more interactive sessions where people can ask questions and relate the conversation back to their own situation.
These are built around the decisions people are already thinking about or making, how to structure their money, what to do with KiwiSaver, and whether what they are doing now is actually going to make a difference later on. Because no matter what stage people are at, retirement is already sitting in the background.
These sessions help people step back and see how everything fits together, rather than treating each financial decision in isolation.
Group presentations
Presentations designed for larger groups, where people are taken through the bigger picture of their financial world in a way that is clear, engaging, and grounded in real situations.
These sessions walk through the types of decisions people are already navigating, from managing day to day cashflow, through to KiwiSaver, protecting income, and what retirement could realistically look like.
They are designed to challenge thinking, highlight gaps, and help people understand whether what they are doing now is actually setting them up for the future.
Employee benefits
Employee benefits are additional support beyond standard pay, designed to help your people in a practical way.
This can include options like group insurance, income protection, access to private health treatment, financial education sessions, and investment support such as KiwiSaver.
The goal is to provide support when life takes an unexpected turn and give people clearer direction when they are thinking about longer-term goals. Employee benefits often sit within a wider workplace financial wellbeing approach, helping people understand their options and make more informed decisions over time.
Employing staff is about more than just how much you pay them.
It is about creating a workplace where people feel valued and supported in a way that is meaningful to them.
Employee benefits are one part of that. They can go beyond salary to include things like health cover, income protection, and financial wellbeing support.
When done well, they give people a greater sense of security, reduce financial stress, and help build long-term trust and loyalty within a team.
Increasingly, these are not being seen as optional extras, but as an important part of how businesses support their people.
Finding the right approach for your team
We start by understanding your team and what you are trying to achieve. From there, it is about shaping the right approach, whether that is building out employee benefits, making better use of what is already in place, or starting with workshops or presentations that get people thinking about the decisions they are already making.
That can include areas like group insurance and KiwiSaver, but more importantly, helping people understand what those decisions mean for them.
Because it is not just about putting something in place. It needs to stay relevant as your business and your people change over time.
Talk to us
If you are starting to think about how to support your people beyond just the pay packet, we are always happy to have a conversation. That might be exploring employee benefits, running workshops or presentations, or simply figuring out what could work for your team and where to start.
There is no one right approach, but getting it right can make a real difference to how people feel about their situation and their future, and it can go a long way in building trust, engagement, and long-term loyalty within your team.
