I just had a call from my life insurance company. They wanted to check in and see how I was doing, remind me of some benefits I haven’t claimed yet, and also that I don’t really need my insurance anymore. My faith in humanity has been restored a little. The insurance people have been nothing but helpful and caring since Helen died, the opposite of what I expected.
